Rover Football Club’s Tom Denton has been named as the 2020 West Coast Poly Player of the Year.

Playing in the Great Northern Football League, Denton dominated in a covid shortened 2020 season. The midfielder dominated during the home and away season, claiming multiple awards as best on ground during WACFL promotional rounds, quickly establishing himself as a vital cog in the sides premierships tilt.

The midfielders outstanding form continued into the finals series. Denton shone in his sides semi-final win which was awarded with the Ross ‘Pud’ Worthington Best on Ground Medal.

In GNFL Fairest & best, the JJ Clune Medal, Denton won by a country mile. He received a whooping 28 votes for the season, 12 ahead of his nearest rival. In

To finish the season Denton was influential in his sides grand final victory over Railways, the club’s 10th flag.

Thanks to West Coast Poly, Tom will receive two nights accommodation at the Crown Casino, Perth and 2 tickets to an AFL Game in 2021 at Optus Stadium.
